New layout on the official website of the php-gtk (http://gtk.php.net/)

Good day,

I changed the official website of the php-gtk at http://gtk.php.net/

  • Now it is multi-language.
  • For now the site is in English and Portuguese Brazil.
  • Today we have few links, but I hope that the community help us make improvements.
  • 5361 files were changed for me, including the manual files which now has four formats for download.
  • Next week I shall provide a page where you will know how to help the project.
  • With the release of PHP 7, I will start the development of php-gtk 3.

I ask those who want to publicize your software, to send screens and a description in Portuguese and English so I put on the official website.

Thank you

Site upgrade on 2013-05-01

The PHP-GTK community site was upgraded from Drupal 5 at long last, after it got hacked with minimal damage in April. That long overdue upgrade was an occasion to update both Drupal core and contrib code and the site custom code to more recent versions and higher quality/security levels. It is always humbling to revisit one's code 5 years later and see how what seemed like a good idea one day may appear like something one would never have written, in retrospect.

Damage and recovery

New repository for PHP-GTK

Although the main PHP-GTK site at http://gtk.php.net/ does not (yet ?) make mention of it, development of PHP-GTK is still active, but is using a more recent infrastructure, having moved to Github like many other projects.

Undocumented php-gtk methods.. Fortunately help can be found!

Hello,

We all run in php-gtk site to seek documentation for different methods or classes but often there is no helpful description there. Also the try and error approach is not always what you want if you are in a hurry.

Fortunately you can use other web sites that refer to gtk for other languages in order to get help.

pewpew - PHP's Embedded Webserver

screenshot for pewpew This is a tiny tool that allows you to launch the built in PHP 5.4 HTTP test server with a few clicks. It allows you to select which PHP binary you want to use (in case you have multiple on your system) and the document root of the test server.
